Purple Bud is an interesting strain from Oregon in the US. Oregon and California have many varieties such as Purple Oregon Sativa, Purple Akala or Purps, which Jason King praises in his book The Cannabible.
These varieties are interesting both for their colors and fruity taste. They belong to the "purple" family of cannabis varieties. In America, these plants are called purple, even if they are slightly colored, for example, pale pink or pale purple, as opposed to Dutch varieties, which are sometimes almost black due to the local climate.
This strain is very similar to Skunk #1 in its characteristics, genetics and care. It is easy to breed and finishes flowering in 9 weeks. Its optimal THC content is around 20%.
