At CannaBioGen, we select seeds one by one, testing the germination of batches every three months. Most failures are due to the breakdown of the embryo by bacteria and fungi in the culture medium and excess water. Seeds must be germinated in sterile media and substrates. Seeds should be treated with a fungicide, and if this is not possible, sterile water should be used. The temperature should be between 21ºC and 24ºC preferably. The plants must be mature in order to obtain a seed harvest in the best conditions, and the remaining plant material is destroyed. CannaBioGen is the first seed bank to set an expiration date on cannabis seeds. If cannabis seeds have problems with germination, the batch is checked and the seeds are replaced with others.
