The advantage of AK-47 varieties is that they shorten the flowering period of hybrids obtained by crossing them with some varieties with a strong sativa beginning. The presence of Ortega in the genetic composition accelerates ripening, even when it seems that there are still several weeks left before the plant ripens. We bred AK-47 with these characteristics and crossed it with one of our Northern Lights varieties, the flowering time was reduced to 8 weeks. This allows harvesting at the end of September. The plant shows all its potential, typical of indica and sativa hybrids (in a proportion of 60 to 40%), in open ground.
Therefore, when planted in April, the plant will be at least two meters high and can occupy an area of several square meters. For proper cultivation in open ground, it is necessary to prepare a substrate in which the plant will be grown. In the winter months, it is necessary to fertilize it so that the soil can decompose and absorb all the nutrients. On sunny days, you can cover the ground with black plastic film to attract heat, which will kill insects that would otherwise eat the roots of the plant.
La Reina is recommended for novice growers as it is easy to grow, has no problems growing and forms thick stems and branches. It has the typical AK thin, serrated leaves of a dark lemon green color. The plant has short internodes and begins to form branches in the early stages of growth, forming large bushes. Indoors, the extremely productive "Sea of Green" method can be used. When growing indoors, the vegetative stage should not be prolonged; two weeks is enough to control the growth of this fast-growing plant. Height 60 cm allows you to get good results.
Although the plant does not require large amounts of fertilizer, it is necessary to monitor the EC indicator so that there is no deficiency. In this case, the leaves begin to noticeably turn yellow. Organic fertilizers are recommended for this plant. Adding good worm humus and bat droppings to the substrate in the required quantities in combination with regular watering will be sufficient.
The flowering is exuberant and produces large, heavy clusters of flowers that grow in number right before your eyes. The heavy, compact buds have a reddish tint and are completely covered in resin. It produces good hashish. The taste is reminiscent of sour tropical fruits and leaves a sharp aftertaste in the mouth.
