Kannabia Mataró Blue is the most complex genotype in our entire catalogue, a triple cross that combines the best features of several indica-dominated varieties. Among them is one of our most indica varieties, Blueberry, a very high yielder that has retained all the properties for which it is famous (small stature, fast flowering and bluish tones). Another component is an original Afghani variety (Mazar-i-Sharif), which produces large quantities of resin and gives a bountiful harvest.
The final component in this indica cocktail is our Black Domina, from which the plant inherited the branching habit when grown outdoors and indoors in 7-10L pots, and a greater height than the hybrids obtained from the first crossings. At the same time, the plant has a large and dense central bud, consisting of a large number of flowers that form clusters located one above the other. In the first days of flowering, the plant begins to form crystals that cover it with a thick layer of sticky resin and resemble large drops of caramel. At first, the trichome heads are lime green, and at the end of ripening they become white and golden, spreading a very strong smell. If exposed to low temperatures, the plant acquires a blue-violet hue. Thick and healthy shoots of a dark green color are well suited for cloning. The branches form medium-sized nodes with huge and thick leaves. During growth, it tolerates large amounts of fertilizers well and is highly resistant to dry periods. For good results indoors, we recommend using high-power lamps (800 W/m2). The recommended vegetative cycle in closed ground, which allows for a good harvest, is 2 weeks. When using hydroponic systems, the plant shows amazing results, demonstrating an amazing ripening speed. It develops very well in open ground and can occupy an area of several square meters. We recommend tying the plant so that it can withstand the weight of the cones. After pruning, the plants turn into large bushes up to 2 meters high.
The flowering period lasts 58-65 days, and the harvest can be collected in the first days of September. To enhance the taste, we recommend using carbohydrates.
