Kalichakra Reg

The Kalichakra variety is named after the Indian goddess Kali (wife of the Ganjakur god Shiva) and combines unique natural genetics of South India and the Golden Triangle. Unlike typical sativas, it grows very well indoors, even in low light. It is surprisingly adaptable, does not require special attention, and is a good choice for beginners. Female plants can provide clones in abundance. Clones can be prepared for flowering early, including using hydroponics or in growboxes, to reduce the flowering period. In hydroponics, rapid growth is achieved with increased CO2 in the air and you will be able to harvest abundantly (adjust the EC of the nutrient solution to a higher level when using CO2).

Kalichakra responds well to staking and grows with an impressively large cola when given even light distribution. Due to the structure, light reaches all flowering shoots. Therefore, do not staking to avoid height problems in low light. We recommend this variety for SCROG and SOG techniques, despite the branching of the plants. The low odor contributes to the choice of the variety for stealth production.

Kalichakra produces a conical, tower-shaped inflorescence. The ratio of inflorescences to leaves allows for exceptionally fast and easy harvesting. The long-inflorescence phenotype predominates, which is a good choice for mother plants and breeding, and provides high yields. After 4 weeks of vegetative growth indoors under 400 W/m2 HPS lighting, the average height of the plants will be 100-120 cm. More than half of the plants reach a height of about 100 cm.

Height can be easily controlled by shortening the vegetative period or by top pruning. Plants are typical sativa, like Christmas trees with long internodes. Some will need support in the finishing stages due to the heaviness of the blooms unless the plant is pruned or tightly bunched in SOG. To achieve maximum yield and to strengthen the top branches, it is useful to remove 2-3 branches from the bottom before switching to a 12/12 flowering cycle. You will be ready to harvest after 68 days, but some plants will need an extra week to develop heavy blooms (clones tend to be earlier). You can reduce the light cycle by an hour shortly before harvest to speed up flowering if you are in a hurry.

This strain has good mold resistance, thanks to our breeding specialists who have removed undesirable genetic traits. Kalichakra produces high yields outdoors and is one of our best strains for hot, temperate and tropical zones. In far northern climates, we recommend greenhouses. Harvest results depend on care and weather conditions.

When ready, the inflorescences have a sweet mint taste. The effect is calming and relaxing. It is especially good for people prone to anxiety and rapid heartbeat.
