Skunk No. 1 was the first truly stable hybrid to enter the Dutch Cannabis greenhouses.
Scared Seeds bred it in the late 1970s from Afghani Indica, Mexican Sativa Acapulco Gold and Sativa Columbian Gold. For the first time, it combined the good taste and buzz of a Sativa with the fast, abundant flowering of an Indica.
Having been successfully stabilized, Skunk #1 is widely used as breeding material for most of today's popular skunk strains and many other varieties.
It grows without problems and is always considered the standard by which other strains are compared. It produces dense buds that range in color from light green to gold, with very high yields.
The plant is easy to trim due to its high bud to leaf ratio. It has a sweet smell and taste, and a cerebral high.
